Those seeking larger self catering accommodation should focus on Playa Blanca in the south of the island. As this resort has more Lanzarote villas available for rent than any other. With prices starting from around £500 per week.

Playa Blanca is located further away from the airport than Puerto del Carmen – with a transfer time of around forty minutes. And is situated just across the sea from the island of Fuerteventura. Which provides an atmospheric backdrop come nightfall.

Beach lovers will find they are well catered to here too – as the resort boasts three excellent beaches as well as the popular playas of Papagayo just a fifteen minute walk away.
